This course consists of lectures online by an instructor teaching in real-time. Students must have a computer with a working webcam, speakers, a microphone, and reliable internet access. This course prepares students to take the written and practical EMT exams issued by the Massachusetts Dept. of Public Health and the National Registry of EMTs. Additional in-person practical skills sessions are required to be eligible for certification. Labs will be held in person on select days at Boston University. Class fees include required textbooks, materials, and lab and certification fees for CPR training.
