Basic CPR & First Aid
Students will learn how to perform the lifesaving skills used in respiratory and cardiac emergencies as well as basic treatments for a variety of injuries and illnesses. Topics include bandaging, splinting, wound care, and CPR/AED use for adults, children and infants. Topics will be covered in lecture and reinforced through practice. Those who pass will be certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED for two years.
This class is held in a hybrid format. Participants will receive an email shortly before the class date with instructions to access and complete the online portion of the class. This portion must be completed before meeting in-person on the class date. Participants will be emailed with a 2-hour time slot for the in-person session between 10 am and 6 pm; the class does not meet during the entire period from 10 am to 6 pm.
