This course builds on foundations of traditional and contemporary elements of West African and Caribbean dance. Students will engage in full bodied physical movement, learn progressions across the floor, and choreography that challenges them to fully express themselves while developing confidence and subtle intricacies in a variety of styles. Some previous dance/movement training is helpful but not essential.
No class 10/12, 11/25, 11/27.
This class is performance-based and includes an opportunity to perform at ChoreoLab on 12/6. Participation in the performance is optional.
