    110800 - Lifeguard Training

    This American Red Cross certification class will prepare students to become certified lifeguards. Students must attend all sessions and pass the prerequisite swim test on the first day of class which now includes a treading water component (see item details for prerequisite swim test). If students do not successfully pass the swim test, a $100 fee will be withheld. Participants must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class. Successful completion of the course will result in a two year certification in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED. There is a $100 non-refundable fee to register for this class.

    110810 - Lifeguard Training (Blended)

    This is a blended learning course. Students are required to complete the online eLearning content (~7.5 hours), as well as, attend all on-site sessions.

    This American Red Cross certification class will prepare students to become certified lifeguards.     110825 - Waterfront Lifeguard Training

    This American Red Cross certification class is designed for students who are interested in working at non-surf, open-water facilities including parks, resorts and summer camps with waterfront areas. Students must attend all sessions and pass the prerequisite swim test on the first day of class which now includes a treading water component and a longer swimming component than Lifeguard Training (see item details for prerequisite swim test). If students do not successfully pass the swim assessment, a $100 fee will be withheld. If students cannot complete the Waterfront swim assessment but can complete the Lifeguard Training requirements, they are welcome to continue in the basic level course but no refund of fees will be offered. Participants must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class. Successful completion of the course will result in a two year certification in Lifeguard Training/First Aid/CPR/AED and Waterfront skills. There is a $100 non-refundable fee to register for this class.

Students must be currently ARC certified to take a review course. If your certification is expired, you must take the full Lifeguarding course. The prerequisite swim test will be administered on the first day and a $100 fee will be withheld from those who do not pass the swim test. There is a $100 non-refundable fee to register for this class.

    This LGI certification will enable successful instructor candidates to teach Lifeguarding classes and other related certification classes. Instructor candidates must be at least 17 years old by the completion of the class. Candidates must have a current ARC certification in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED and must pass the prerequisite swim and skills test on the first day of class. Participants must attend all class sessions and bring their own adult and infant pocket mask. A $100 fee will be retained from those who do not pass the swim and skills test. Review and practice is highly recommended before enrolling in this course. There is a $100 non-refundable fee to register for this class.
