This division has been created for those children who are looking for an alternative activity to sailing or for those who are working towards passing their swim test in order to sail in future sessions.
348100 - Swimsport Camp:Competitive Swi
The Competitive Swim division is designed for swimmers ages 9- 13. Each swimmer must be able to swim 50 yards of all four competitive strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breast-stroke and freestyle. There is no time limit, however team experience is preferred. Campers will swim twice a day and sessions will include stroke technique work, refinement of starts and turns and endurance building. Each day campers will meet with coaches to discuss topics such as nutrition, racing strategies, sports psychology and injury prevention - all with an underlying focus on the joy of swimming. Campers will receive video taped underwater stroke analysis and personalized footage to take home. Each session will conclude with a mock meet and spectators are encouraged to attend!
