    317115 - Sculling, Beginning

Participants are taught the fundamentals of sculling on land and then progress to rowing recreational singles which are similar to a kayak. There may also be an opportunity to row a 4 person team sculling boat! Sculling is the style of rowing where each athlete holds one oar in each hand. Sculling is a terrific introduction to rowing as it develops core strength, and skill development progresses at a more individual pace than with sweeps rowing. Basic safety instruction and procedures are also taught and emphasized. Prerequisite: Successful completion of the BU Boating Swim Test
