    This is a perfect class for beginners or those who wish to deepen their understanding of yoga practice. Each class will focus on proper alignment, integrated breath work and asana (posture) by building on the family of asanas. We will introduce several breathing techniques as well as modifications to address injuries or limitations. Students will learn to find their edge where they are stretching and strengthening without causing injury.

    215645 - Gentle Yoga and Meditation

    A calming, slow-paced yoga class designed to stretch and strengthen the body gradually. The emphasis of this class is on basic postures and posture flows that release stress and tension from joints and muscles, and that build strength and endurance gently. We will also explore simple breathing techniques that rejuvenate both the body and mind. Each class concludes with 15-20 minutes of guided meditation using techniques such as visualization and breath awareness to develop mindfulness, tranquility, and insight.

    215660 - Resorative Yoga

    This is a hatha/kripalu style class with the focus on breathing, long periods of holding postures, and variations of posture flows that are gentler on the neck, wrists, knees, and back. Each class will focus on posture options to protect students that have chronic pain or are working through an injury and using breathing techniques to ease into a meditative mindset. The end of class concludes with a 10 minute savasana.
