Play a game, embark on an adventure, and move to music for an energetic and varied introduction to yoga. Asana sequences, breathing exercises, mindfulness exploration, and relaxation will be included to provide a range of experiences. Class will build coordination, balance, and strength while promoting self-awareness and cooperation.
Develop mental focus, physical skills, and inner calm through yoga sequences, breathing and meditation practice. Starting with centering and warm-up exercises, progression will move through sun salutations and yoga sequences, and then advance to balancing and inversions. Restorative poses and relaxation in Savasana will bring the class full circle to a place of inner quiet. Class will also explore how yoga practice can be used to improve focus, compliment physical training, and reduce stress in other classroom and sports activities.
