Course Objective:In the Group Fitness Instructor prep course, you will learn how to create innovative fitness classes to inspire and motivate people to move and the possibility to teach fitness classes at FitRec upon successfully completing the course. This class includes practical workshops in resistance training, Bosu, stability and medicine ball, body-bar, tubing, athletic conditioning drills, basic kickboxing, and training methods in flexibility. Course Structure:This course will prepare student for the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) group exercise certification. Includes practical and theoretical seminars in anatomy and physiology, body alignment, sports nutrition, exercise physiology, and safety guidelines.
Personal Trainer Certification training class designed to prepare individuals for Certified Personal Trainer Examination given by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA-CPT). Includes practical and theoretical seminars in basic anatomy and exercise physiology, fitness evaluation, training program design, nutrition, teaching methods, and safety issues. Extra class fee includes text and test prep materials.
