Squash, Beginning - 111833

An introduction to the basic strokes, rules of the game, and its scoring systems. Players will learn the service and serve-return positioning, along with developing the rudimentary skills necessary to sustain a rally. Racquets, balls and eyeguards provided. Participants are encouraged to wear non-marking sneakers with adequate heel stability (to prevent ankle injury).

Advanced Beginning Squash - 111944

A continuation of the principles explored in the introductory class, with an emphasis on developing a facility volleying the ball, as well as other tactics employed to hold the front (T) position. We will also explore in greater detail the elements of the swing that increase/decrease pace, and expand our hitting zone for greater creativity in shot trajectories.

Squash, Intermediate - 112055

An integration of the basic strokes with more advanced boast and drop-shot drill sequences. We will examine the spin imparted to the ball in several different shot scenarios and how to harness it for greater effect. Conditioned games will be employed to isolate areas of weakness and players will score and referee each other in rotation-games to better understand the issues surrounding interference adjudication (lets and strokes.)
