This 90 minute course will prepare you to pass the standard belay test given at every climbing gym. Perfect for those who need a refresher or want to learn the basics for the first time.Learn to Belay classes can be scheduled on demand for groups of 3 or more. The Rope Up program includes climbing equipment and a chance to climb on the ropes with help from the climbing wall staff.Rope Up takes place on Wednesdays between 7:00-9:00pm. It is available for purchase at the Pro Shop on a drop in basisl. Fitpass users attending Rope Up should check in at the front desk and bring their receipt to the Pro Shop to obtain rental equipment.
Rappelling is an integral skill for all outdoor rope climbing disciplines. This class teaches multiple methods of rappelling, as well as the rope management and anchor building skills necessary to put them into practice.Although the class is focused on skill acquisition, participants should still expect to get a good rock climbing workout each day!All participants must have an active belay certification, or have registered for a section of Learn to Belay prior to the first class.

Rock climbing places unique demands on the body. Strength Training for Rock Climbing is a fitness-climbing hybrid class that combines rock climbing, antagonistic muscle workouts, and climbing specific training equipment - with the goal of steady, injury free gains in functional climbing strength.
The Lead Climbing class is 6 hour course designed to teach participants how to lead climb in a gym. The class will progress from explanations of how lead climbing and belaying work to in class practice.
This class will prepare gym climbers for their first trips outside. Topics include lead climbing, rappelling, building and cleaning anchors, and risk management in an outdoor setting. Strongly recommended for climbers looking to break into the world of outdoor climbing!
